To Care is written for string quartet and electronics, dealing with the nature of mental health. The music acts as a piece of therapy, telling the composer’s story whilst giving little away, but also illuminating the universal pressures on musicians and other artists in a very uncertain world. The piece juxtaposes ethereal strings with tectonic beats, journeying through demonic waltzes, club scherzos and floating sonic islands.
